To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Misogynistic men (and maybe even women)
So the latest controversy over at Tomorrow.sg is about IT shows and women.
And really, some of the opinions expressed are just so unbelievably narrow-minded and self-righteous. What's with the moral high ground? A job is a job, and this one in particular can hardly be said to reflect anything about one's character.
It's men like these that give men a bad name. Surf on over to check out some of the comments (as well as my replies) and you'll see what I mean. And these idiots (by which I'm really referring mostly to the Anonymous Meow) can't even put a valid argument together. If you read my post on Logic, you'll easily recognise the common fallacies that are present in their arguments.
Anyway, I don't really give a damn anymore. I entered the debate only because I took offence to the sweeping statements that were being made and all the slurs that were being cast on girls in this profession.
How pig-headed they must be if logic fails to penetrate their thick skulls. So since reasoning won't work any wonders, I've decided to just bow out gracefully and leave them to their ramblings. As Fengyi says...

woah.... i hope I didn't fall into your category of "misogynistic men". haha
I didn't even bother to enter the debate because I felt it was utterly pointless coz most of them didn't even GET what I was trying to say in my initial blog entry. And being a guy myself, I know that these pig headed MCPs will NEVER get it because they were probably brought up in an environment where mutual respect and courtesy for the sexes were never taught. Oh well. C'est la vie
Of course not. You were just being decent and in the course of it, was totally misconstrued. Some people only see what they want to see, and say what they want to say without even thinking it through.
And I must say your girlfriend's a lucky girl to have a boyfriend who obviously treats her with respect. :)
Came across your tomes from Geek. And well, I had my fair share of arguing with those trolls at Tomorrow as well.
A piece of advice I would give is that don't take them too seriously. They are after all, trolling for flamebait. And of course, I believe that their opinions do not represent the majority of the Singaporean males.
At the end of everything, just have a good laugh at what they are ranting nonsensically. No point in getting upset over it.
