To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Happiness

My MSN screen name has been rather uncharacteristically flighty of late - it starts with ♥.•˙* followed by some random message here. Sometimes words just don't express a state of mind as well as little squiggles can. Anyway, to cut to the chase, it just means I'm happy and much of it has to do with love.

I speak of it of course in the most general sense. There's first and foremost the boy. All's good. Then my friends - it's funny how your friends will almost certainly side with and defend you, offer you a listening ear and comfort you with their fierce loyalty. So it's ok, really, if I've been prejudiced against, because my own friends, in their blind (and maybe not so blind) faith, are just as prejudiced against my detractors. How sweet.

Finally, dance. It's amazing how a good choreographer-dancer can inspire and bring out what you never thought you had in you. And by that I'm speaking of course of Justis, who's absolutely amazing. Today we did locking as well as a little street jazz. No popping, thankfully, because it's just way too advanced for us at this stage. Each practice is a delightful introduction to a new style that only serves to whet my appetite for more. Sadly, we're taking a break for the exams so I'll have to survive without the natural high that I get from each dose of dance.

Anyway, on a totally unrelated note (ok maybe a little related - after all, camwhoring is food to a narcissist's soul), here are some more pictures that I dug up:

I was just bored.

And this one was just in celebration of a good hair day. Ok, time to crash. G'nite.
