A closed chapter
Amidst last night's drunken revelry, Royston asked:
"Eh Fan Wen Fang! Where's Lee Ming Shun?!?"
It was funny at the moment but it's not funny anymore. Breakups never are. Some of my friends expressed their amazement at my ability to get over any guy in a week, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Sure, I can move on. But that one week is pure torture.
Imagine all the memories and emotions compressed into a single week. Most people take time to let go. I just throw myself into abject misery and turn into a total recluse for a week.
What's love? I'm beginning to think it's just a platonic ideal fashioned by dreamers who need to find something to live for. We live, we die, and men can come and go. Maybe I'll write about what went wrong when I'm feeling more introspective. Or maybe not.
