To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

!@#$

I can't believe it. Someone actually stole my newest bikini from the laundrette. I didn't even realise it until I was daydreaming about Pattaya and which bikinis to pack along... then waitaminute, I haven't seen my white one around! So off I went to hunt for it, and when I couldn't find it, only one possibility arose. Someone must have lifted it from my laundry! It's not the first bloody time something like this has happened either, and not just to me. What the hell is wrong with these people?!? It's a good thing this is my last year in hall. Some of the people around here have absolutely no scruples.

Ok, enough negativity. I shall channel my thoughts to good stuff. But WHAT THE FUCK that's thirty five dollars gone just like that you ASSWIPE. Ok thinking nice thoughts obviously ain't working too well. Damn but I'm annoyed. Ok let's try again.

Just 26 days to Bangkok. Then it's shopping madness, and I can buy a ton of nice bikinis for thirty five bucks. Among other things. Feeling slightly better now.

Ok, yesterday my mother paid me a visit with bird's nest soup and a homecooked dinner. That made my day - though I couldn't help wincing at how much the bird's nest had cost.

Back to studying now. Last paper on Thursday, and then it's a welcome return to work. December looks like it's going to be really fun, or busy at least: plenty of assignments as well as dance practices, and then of course there's Bangkok. Yay!

Anyway, I'm now feeling a bit better thanks to Sze, even if he can be a bit lame sometimes:

If this is not the first time, then prolly you shd make a report or something so that they can take future preventive measures?

I mean, we have security cameras installed but fat lot of good they seem to do. It's usually up to us to keep an eye out for intruders. A bunch of us girls caught an underwear thief a couple of months ago (not the one I wrote about above) but these things still happen.
