To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Photoshoot pics
Yesterday's shoot was pretty cool - I think we got more good shots this time round, although I'm not really in the best position to judge since I never got to see most of the shots from the last shoot. One of the photographers was really young - 22 - and for a first outdoor paid shoot, he did pretty well:
He even caught me sticking my tongue out:
It's funny how the photogs kept trying to coax my dimples out. The dimples only surface on occasion, so whenever I got tired of trying, I'd make faces at the photogs. Yikes.
But anyway, Alex was really sweet. Since it was a paid shoot, he didn't have to give me any photos but he still sent me tons. He even offered to send me the original non-watermarked ones - too nice of him. I turned him down, though. It felt bad to be taking advantage of someone's inexperience. I'm assuming, of course, that his lack of protectiveness over his pictures is because he hasn't been hanging around fellow photographers long enough. After a while they tend to get jaded and cynical, and very very paranoid about their work being stolen. But I'm just generalising; there are always exceptions to the rule.
One picture from Peter, who makes life so much easier for me because he doesn't want me to smile:
