To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Cosplay... sort of
Last night was a mad frantic rush from one venue to another - I was booked for Sentosa, 5pm to 10pm, then Baron's promo at Selegie, from 10pm to 1am. It was hell for the coordinators who had to shuttle us about because there was an overwhelming demand for girls for various events last night.
Anyway, same old ethnic costume thing at Sentosa, so no pictures this time. But the Baron's Brew costume was pretty interesting: an all-black ensemble of a leather mini, leather vest, leather cuffs, leather studded choker, and leather boots. Plus, my hair had been in a bun all evening for the Sentosa event so when I let it down for the Baron's promo, it was a wild mess. Badass biker chick alert!
Sadly, I lost my new GoJane tee in last night's flurry of activity. I couldn't find it after the Sentosa event. I'm hoping that somebody took it by mistake and that I didn't actually leave it in the toilet during the mad rush to change. It was a good thing Jean (new girl from the Tropicana pageant!) had a jacket so at least I could go home decent.
The tee was really good quality too, and absolutely gorgeous, with silver lettering and studded with crystals. SIGH. The first and only time I wore it:
Anyway, just an example of how the male mind works very differently from the female mind:
