To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Sunday

I had the best night's sleep every on Saturday, thanks to all that booze I had on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, I had to drag myself out of bed early for work on Sunday - stupid gig was all the way in the East. Doesn't make much sense to travel three hours (total) for two hours' work, but oh well.

Since the bus was relatively empty and I was REALLY bored, I whipped out my camera.

Tada! I did my makeup on the bus. Don't try this unless you're really really pressed for time. I did the easy stuff like sweeping on blush when the bus was moving; the scary stuff like curling eyelashes and applying mascara I saved for those rare moments when the bus made a brief stop.

Actually I wasn't wearing much makeup. Just the basics, because the bus started to fill up just as I was moving on to colours. Nothing on my lips, because I usually save that for last.

I spent so much time on the eyelashes that I couldn't resist taking more pictures.

After work (which was super easy - I was dressed as an angel, in a flowy white tube dress and pink wings, and all I had to do was give out red roses) I met up with the boy. He liked the angel makeup: apparently my skin looked wonderfully glowy and the foundation looked perfectly natural. I think the DiorGLAM palette really helped:

This was taken after I got home. From the DiorGLAM palette, I had the gold highlighter on my eyes, and the pink highlighter on the apples of my cheeks. And then of course the MAC Hyper Real foundation with its silicon base and shimmer particles imparted a glow too. They may be a bit of a luxury, but they're worth every single cent - seriously good stuff!

And that marks the end of an amazingly bimbotic post.
