To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Blah

Not having a good day.

First, I overslept for my 8am lecture.

Then, I couldn't find the room I was supposed to go to for my 10am tutorial. Hunting for it drove me to the brink of insanity. AS4/02-06 - finding AS4 wasn't difficult, but when I climbed up to the second floor, I was greeted by a note that directed me somewhere else. Quite evidently there's a history of students having trouble finding this very same room. So I followed the instructions, but found myself at the other end of the building, with signs pointing to rooms 01-05 (or was it 07 and beyond... my memory's a little hazy) but no sign of room 06. GAH!!

I'm starting to think that the room doesn't even exist. !@#$

I threw in the towel after that and decided to calm myself with a cup of watermelon juice and packing my lunch for the beach. I was planning to go for Round 2 of tanning at Sentosa today, and I was dressed in my beach gear for class:

See, I really need to tan my lily-white belly and even out my tan lines from EHOC. And eat more too, but that's another rant for another day.

I wore my bikini under a halter top and shorts ensemble, and I was lugging around my beach mat, all ready to run off to Sentosa the very minute class ended. I had to mail some packages out first, so I went to the post office in school. I left my mat propped against the wall so that I could write the addresses on the packages, and well, no prizes for guessing what happened next. I forgot to take my mat with me when I left.

It wasn't that big a deal, because the mat only cost $2 (from Daiso!), and I've got another one in my room (technically it's Tom's but heck). But then I heard a distant rumble, and looked up to see gathering dark clouds. !@#$ So the beach is out.

Looks like all I can do today is to renew my passport. And collect my Shuffle (YAY!). And be a muggertoad (booooooo).
