To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one - not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness. But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable. The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
If you've managed to resist the temptation so far but would like to cave in and read it for free, email me at feine84@yahoo.com.sg.
I bought an ebook (comes in a .pdf file) for $1 off Yahoo! auctions and am happy to share. I don't know if this is against any copyright laws, but frankly, I don't really care. I do think that writers should be duly rewarded for their work and supported by having their books legitimately purchased, but in the case of J.K. Rowling, I'm a little miffed at how the bigwigs in charge have manipulated the popularity of the series. What's the deal with releasing only hardcover versions, and then paperback ones months later? Some of us would much rather prefer getting a paperback copy that's easier on the wallet and to carry around.
So seeing as how these bloodsuckers are already raking in the millions...
Email me if you want a free copy. It comes with a few typos though - you've been warned.
