While out with the boy last Wednesday I stumbled upon a Giordano bazaar. Everything was at rock-bottom prices so I grabbed myself a green lycra camisole and a white mini polo tee for $6 each. As for the boy, he snagged a pair of khaki corduroy pants for just $15.
I don't usually buy polo tees - this brings the grand total of the number I own to two - but I needed slack clothes that I could just muck around in when I don't feel like dressing up. Anyway... in the spirit of staying true to myself, I wore the tee the very next day.

Look, ma - dimples!Ok, enough of the self-indulgence. Moving on to updates:
SaturdayHome Sweet HomeHow wonderful it is to be fussed over and have my every need catered to. My mother has a tendency to overdo it a little though - every other hour she pops up to offer me some food and ask me if I'm hungry and if I need anything. And when she cooks, she always cooks way too many dishes and in far too great a quantity of each dish. Makes me feel like a goose that she's trying to fatten up.
In the name of filial piety, I agreed to keep my mother company when she expressed her wish to go shopping in the afternoon. My dad came along too, so it was another one of those rare family bonding sessions. He offered to buy me whatever I was eyeing - which I would have been grateful to accept under normal circumstances, but we were in the lingerie department. I quickly scuttled away and told him instead that there was nothing that caught my eye.
ClubbingMy grand plan to hit all the different nightspots failed to materialise. First off, the queue at Chinablack was way too long. We stood there for an hour and it didn't budge at all. The people in front of us kept letting their friends cut in so all hopes of us getting in any time soon were fading before our very eyes.
We contemplated going to Momo to join Seraphina but then she reported that the queue there was atrocious as well so we gave up on that thought. Instead, we spent the next hour at McDonald's and then Coffee Bean indulging in food and drink and taking silly pictures before meeting Seraphina at Devils' Bar.
By the time Sera signed us in at Devils' it was about 1am. We met a couple of interesting people, all Sera's friends, and spent the next three hours drinking and chilling (if men dry-humping men could be considered chilling...). Between the 7 or 8 of us we finished two bottles of JW Black Label and one barrel of beer. We didn't start dancing until 4am, when they finally started playing hiphop and r&b. By the time we left, it was 6am.
My chauffeur of the night was dear Terence aka twerp. I didn't tell him so, but I was really quite touched that he actually came all the way down to send me home. Bearing in mind that it was 6am, that he lives in Serangoon North while I live in Bukit Batok, and that he isn't my boyfriend, the fact that he was willing to go to all that trouble just showed - and not for the first time - what a wonderful friend I have in him.
SundayEHOCI overslept for Job Day. Sigh. Sorry boss.
Then I tried spending the rest of the day on the orientation booklet, but oh come on, HOW THE FUCK am I supposed to get it done if nobody sends me anything on time? I'm short of speeches, and I'm having troubles matching names to faces. It'll be a miracle if we can get this done in time.
