i haven't bought any new makeup in
eons! well, sort of, anyway. the replacement of basics like mascara doesn't count. so seeing as the scholarship money is due to arrive any day now (IT'D BETTER!), i decided to plan a little shopping in advance.

♥ shu uemura color mousse - $42. a gel blush with a very light consistency. comes with sparkles and blends beautifully for the most natural flush from within. apparently this is just RM75 in jb. mmm.

♥ tony & tina glitter eye pencils - $42 the last i checked. but they're having 50% off
everything right now. how could anyone resist that?

♥ dior cosmetics - not eyeing anything in particular, but there's going to be an end of season sale soon that i want to check out. i really want more of what i already have; namely, limited edition bling bling palettes! i've got the girly blossom palette (pictured above, first palette) and i bought the last holiday lip palette for my friend for her 21st (pictured above, second palette). sniff.

♥ mac lipstick - free! i've used up enough of my mac stuff to redeem a free lipstick under the back2mac programme (six empty containers in exchange for a lipstick of your choice) so yay.
plus basics that need replenishing♥ foundation - i'm fast running out now that i'm wearing it more often, no thanks to jcm. my mac hyper real is a little too iridescent and shimmery for everyday wear, yet doesn't have enough coverage for stage performances. i'll have to hop around the different makeup counters in search of the perfect medium coverage (yet natural) foundation. i think the boy will kill me if he ever gets to read this, but i'm thinking of getting at least two different kinds of foundation:
- powder compact foundation for a matte look (chanel, kp, mac)
- liquid foundation for glowy skin (mac, px, lancome)
the good thing is that i can actually get a lot of mileage from these two staples if i play around with them. for instance:
- for a sheer, natural finish, mix the liquid foundation with moisturiser and voila! tinted moisturiser.
- for a bit more coverage, wear the liquid foundation topped with a dusting of loose powder.
- for medium coverage, use the powder compact foundation.
- for full coverage, wear the powder compact foundation over the liquid foundation.
so i guess that kinda justifies the $100-$150 that i'll be spending on foundation. ;)
♥ cleanser - just finished my mac green gel cleanser. this is good stuff.
