independent woman
Club 977 The Hits Channel has the best playlist ever - current hits mixed with old favourites, mostly hiphop and rnb. i lost a huge chunk of my mp3 collection when my old laptop crashed, so this radio station is an absolute godsend. i've been furiously downloading updating my song library each time i hear an old favourite.

it's the kind of woman i've always wanted to be, but it's just inherently not me. financially, yes i pay my own way, but emotionally i'm a total emonemo.
sure, i enjoy being pampered. which girl wouldn't? but however much i love being showered with gifts and treated like a princess, ultimately a relationship is about the emotional, not the material. it's precisely because i care that i don't want my boy to spend on me. if i didn't care, i'd let him spend as much as he wanted on me.
a girlfriend should never be a liability or a burden. don't laugh, but to me relationships are about two people who make each other better people, and who offer each other support and affection when the going gets tough. but of course that's the ideal situation. that's why i'm in a relationship.
so yes, i'll continue to pay my own way, thank you very much. it's not about being a feminist; it's just my way of caring.
