be still my heart
yet another reason to ♥ photoshop - brushes!
while searching for more plugins, i stumbled upon free brushes. spiritsighs@deviantart has the best collection. i must have downloaded hundreds of her designs - pretty stuff!
so... armed with my new brushes, i set about sprucing up this blog. nothing too fancy or drastic though. i only used one of the brushes to add a butterfly to the lower right corner of the background picture.
other changes: a sprinkle of star dust is now in pink instead of purple and centred rather than aligned at the right; the stars and sparkles are now arranged in elliptical fashion rather than uniform to leave the centre more empty; the centre text box now has a transparent background rather than solid black; the scrollbar is now black rather than white; and i repositioned the cascading stylesheets.
tiny changes, really, but quite necessary. i can't quite explain it, but i just can't leave something alone if it doesn't feel perfect. this still doesn't feel right enough, but it's about as good as it gets with my limited knowledge of photoshop and web resources. whew. can't wait to learn more and find out what i've been missing out on!
